From the 16th July 2008, the new Attestation of Safety, European diploma, has been mandatory in all European countries in order to become a cabin crew member.
People who already passed the former Safety and Rescue Certificate, are required to attend an updated training programme, including Dangerous Goods (E50) and Multi Crew Management (H80), in DGAC certified centers.
Transitional European Regulation
Courses to attend in order to obtain Attestation of Safety:
People with full valid Safety and Rescue Certificate : H80 & E50
People with valid theoretical Safety and Rescue Certificate : Practical Attestation of Safety, H80 & EH50.
DGAC-certified school as Practical Eximation Centre for the CFS
Duration : 35 training hours over 5 days.
Program : Practical application of the theoretical part (safety & rescue, first-aid).
Timetable : 12 sessions per year.
Program : Meterorology, regulations, fire-fighting, depressurisation, safety instructions, etc.
First-aid program : On-board equipement, examination of an injured person, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation etc.
Duration : 15 days, followed by a written exam - 100 training hours over 3 weeks.
Timetable : 4 sessions per year followed by a written exam, the dates of which are set by the DGAC
